Cannoli Chips & Dip

Ingredients

  • 12 wonton wrappers or pastry sheets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the wonton wrappers or pastry sheets into quarters to make bite-sized chips.
  3. Brush both sides of each piece lightly with vegetable oil and arrange them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle the chips lightly with ground cinnamon.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and crispy. Set aside to cool.
  6. In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  7. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips into the ricotta mixture.
  8. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and dust with a little more powdered sugar, if desired.
  9. Serve the cool cinnamon chips alongside the creamy dip.

Notes

For an extra flair, try adding a sprinkle of pistachios or a dash of cocoa powder to the dip.
